A SHORT HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL
At Fathima Matha English Medium L P School, The people of Tirur had been longing for an English Medium School for a long time. Being approached by the people, His Excellency Rt.Rev.Dr.Sebastian Vallopilly, the Bishop of Tellicherry requested the sisters of sacred Heart Congregation of Malabar province to start at least a Nursery school. The sisters had to oblige the Bishop and the result was the starting of Fathima Matha English Medium School on 16th June 1975. By the combined efforts of the people and management, the Government of Kerala gave recognition to an unaided Lower primary school in June 1983. The necessary sanction to open a High School with upper Primary section was obtained in the year 1984. The academic ability of Fathima Matha Institution was proved with 100 percentage success in the first batch of students appeared for the S.S.L.C Examination in March 1987.
Our Inspiration
Fathima Matha English Medium LP School in Tirur is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the supreme Guru, who is the guiding light to enlighten every individual who is part of our academic community. Venerable Fr. Mathew Kadalikattil, the founder of Scared Heart congregation of sisters (SHS) is our source of inspiration and challenge to take up this mobile endeavor of providing quality education to the young minds.

Fathima Matha LP school is established not only to facilitate the region with a good school with curriculum, but at the same time it has more better aims and objectives and aspires for more better noble causes. It provides a plat form for education not only to the privileged few but many of those underprivileged children of this region or elsewhere.
